Long time UCLA Faculty Women’s Club (FWC) member, Luana L. “Lu” Ash, was born on December 1, 1933, in Jacksonville, Florida. She passed away on June 19, 2012, in Los Angeles, California. Lu traveled extensively with her husband Dr. Larry Ash, Professor Emeritus of Epidemiology, UCLA School of Public Health.

Lu was a beloved member of FWC and participated in several Special Interest Sections, including Galleries and Sights and The Birthday Club. She was chair of the Investment Section in the 1990’s which later evolved into the Green Vistas Investment Club, of which she remained an active member and served as President. She will be greatly missed.
