WELCOME NEWCOMERS / VISITING FACULTY
The UCLA
Faculty Women’s Club (FWC) extends a warm
welcome to Newcomers and Visiting Faculty at
UCLA who are eligible for
membership.
If you new to UCLA or if you are returning
to FWC, we invite you to check out FWC as a
Newcomer by attending one of our General
Meetings where we can
"meet and greet" you and welcome you
personally to FWC.
Our General
Meetings feature a guest speaker and time
for socializing while enjoying light
refreshments. At the first meeting in
October, Section Chairs are on hand with
information about our almost twenty
Special Interest
Sections. They
will happily explain their Section's format,
answer your questions, and sign you up! We
know being a part of FWC will deeply enrich
your UCLA experience.
We look forward
to meeting and welcoming you!

The FWC is one of the oldest support groups on the UCLA
campus. Our members come from diverse backgrounds and all
corners of campus to enjoy educational and social
activities together. FWC currently has many Special
Interest Sections for
you to sample—everything from Book, Bridge, Mah Jongg, and
Music
groups to Tai Chi and Tennis; from Play Reading and Knit
Happens to Conversational French, German or Spanish; and
from International Cooking to Let’s Do Lunch. In addition,
the Galleries and Sights section explores places of interest
in and around the Los Angeles area, and the Young Professionals
meet to network and enjoy aspects of the UCLA campus. Finally, the Birthday
Club fosters meaningful friendships as members celebrate
their birthdays and individual histories. As you can see,
there is something for everyone!
